We utilise our supply chain and procurement to multiply our positive impact in our host countries, prioritising strong partnerships with local suppliers of goods and services, with the goal of empowering businesses, driving job creation, and strengthening the local economy.

We expect our suppliers to comply with our own policies and standards, as set out in our Supplier Code of Conduct Handbook, particularly in the key areas of human rights, health and safety, ethical business conduct, labour management and environmental stewardship.

In 2024 we spent $1.2 billion on in-country procurement, which represented 83% of our total budget. This supported over 1,200 national and local business across West Africa with $7.7 million invested in voluntary socio-economic and environmental community initiatives.
