
The role
Reporting to the VP Talent Acquisition & Development, the Regional Training Coordinator is responsible for the design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of leadership, management, soft skills, and corporate culture programs across the organization.
This role combines instructional design expertise, facilitation skills for adult learning in multicultural contexts, digital learning development, and the ability to build and sustain communities of practice. It plays a strategic role in aligning learning initiatives with business objectives, talent development priorities, and corporate culture transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Design & Learning Architecture :
- Conduct needs assessments (organizational, functional, individual) in line with People Reviews and business challenges.
- Design structured learning programs using a complete instructional design cycle (analysis, design, development, delivery, evaluation).
- Apply adult learning principles and adapt training methods to diverse audiences.
- Ensure learning content is culturally relevant, multilingual (FR/EN), and aligned with business needs.
Program Development & Delivery :
- Develop and deliver tailored programs for all management levels:
- Front-line Managers – team leadership, operational communication, workplace safety culture.
- Middle & Senior Managers – operational strategy, change management, crisis leadership.
- High Potentials & Successors – personalised development plans and mentoring.
- Facilitate engaging classroom sessions, virtual workshops, and experiential learning activities.
- Integrate soft skills modules into technical training pathways.
Digital Learning & Content Development :
- Implement or design and produce interactive e-learning, microlearning, and blended learning content using authoring tools (Articulate Easy generator, etc.).
- Upload, manage, and track learning activities through the LMS (Cornerstone).
- Introduce innovative learning formats (videos, gamification, scenario-based simulations).
- Measure learning impact through Kirkpatrick model, 360° feedback, and performance indicators.
Corporate Culture & Diversity Initiatives :
- Design and lead programs promoting corporate values, diversity & inclusion, and psychological safety.
- Deliver bilingual learning programs (FR/EN) to strengthen cross-site collaboration and cultural cohesion.
- Promote consistent leadership behaviours across operations and corporate offices.
Communities of Practice & Social Learning :
- Initiate, structure, and facilitate communities of learning (leadership circles, peer learning groups).
- Facilitate regular exchange rituals: webinars, best-practice sharing, hybrid events.
- Leverage collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, etc) to enhance engagement and knowledge sharing.
Project Management & Reporting :
- Manage training budgets, negotiate with external vendors, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Track KPIs: participation rates, skills progression, application of learning on the job.
- Prepare reports and provide recommendations to improve learning impact and alignment with business strategy.
Partnerships & Learning Innovation :
- Build partnerships with training institutions, universities, and international learning providers.
- Stay up to date with emerging learning technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Key Requirements
Education :
- Master’s degree or equivalent in HR, Management, Instructional Design, Psychology, or related field.
- Certification in adult learning facilitation, coaching, or digital learning (highly desirable).
Relevant experience :
- Minimum 5 years in designing, delivering, and managing leadership/culture programs in multicultural and international environments. (Mining sector, or industrial sectors preferred)
- Proven experience in both field-based (West Africa) and corporate settings
- Strong track record in instructional design and blended learning development.
Key Skills :
- Mastery of adult learning principles and experiential learning techniques.
- Fluency in English and French is essential.
- Advanced facilitation skills (in-person and virtual).
- Proficiency in authoring tools and LMS platforms (Cornerstone).
