Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Reliability Engineer will be responsible for providing expertise focused on reliability, condition monitoring, improvement strategies and tactics that enable cost effective, timely and safe maintenance to occur, and ensuring assets are consistently available to meet the operational plan requirements.

The role

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Reliability Engineer will be responsible for providing expertise focused on reliability, condition monitoring, improvement strategies and tactics that enable cost effective, timely and safe maintenance to occur, and ensuring assets are consistently available to meet the operational plan requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Champion the implementation of EDV’s Asset Management Framework and Standards.
  • Lead Condition Monitoring Programs (Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infrared Thermography, NDT).
  • Produce periodical reports that will provide Asset Health and Reliability insight to management.
  • Lead defect elimination program and facilitate RCA.
  • Lead FMEA, PMO, Asset Criticality. Lifecycle activities to drive continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
  • Responsible for critical equipment major interventions and solving complex equipment issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible to create and execute Individual Development plans for the Reliability and Lubrication team.
  • Initiate and manage reliability improvement projects.
  • Develop Wear Parts monitoring programs.
  • Write technical procedures and SOPs.
  • Offer technical training to the maintenance team.
  • Implement Endeavour Mining’s Asset Management Framework and adhere to reliability standards.
  • Lead Condition Monitoring Programs (Vibration, Oil Analysis, Infrared Thermography, NDT) to detect issues early.
  • Lead FMEA, PMO, and Asset Criticality Assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage critical equipment interventions, working with internal and external teams to resolve issues.
  • Direct the Lubrication Excellence Program to maintain optimal equipment performance.
  • Develop and execute Individual Development Plans for the Reliability and Lubrication teams.
  • Lead reliability improvement projects aligned with business goals.
  • Establish Wear Parts Monitoring Programs to ensure parts availability and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and update SOPs and technical procedures.
  • Provide technical training to the maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards for the team.
  • Calculate Reliability Distribution and identify life cycle on critical equipment.
  • Identify potential failures and implement a condition monitoring program
  • Develop and implement maintenance tactics on critical equipment of the plant as directed by the asset management framework.
  • Be able to apply condition monitoring techniques to drive reliability improvement through effective defect elimination programs.

Position requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in reliability, with a history of leading teams and implementing programs.
  • Strong background in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance.
  • Certified Vibration Analyst CAT II or higher.
  • Machinery Lubrication Level 1 or higher.
  • Additional certifications such as NDT, RCA, and FMEA are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both French and English.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels.
  • Skilled at problem-solving and adapting to changing environments.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong integrity and a commitment to ethical standards
  • Working experience with pack office Microsoft.
