The Akropon prospect is located 10km to the northwest of the Nzema plant site on the northern end of the Asanta PL. At Akropon the sedimentary sequence is dominated by Birimian aged phyllites and greywackes of the Anwia Domain on the eastern side of the Salman Shear Zone. Aeromagnetic images show that Akropon is located on a prominent NE trending geological contact that may be sheared and may provide a structural control for the gold mineralisation.
The prospect was located by a 400m x 50m soil sampling program that was later tightened to 100m x 25m generating an anomaly 1000m long by 400m wide. The peak value is 1486ppb Au in a background of <50ppb Au.
Several phases of RC drilling have been completed at Akropon intersecting a moderately steep dipping zone of mineralisation within greywacke.

|ARRC004|| ||10m @ 1.26g/t Au
The mineralised zone is sub-parallel to the geological contact and is open to the south. Additional drilling is planned to test for extensions to the mineralisation along strike and at depth.
